As many of you may know, October is the National Breast Cancer Awareness Monthwith that said I just received my Oct. issue of SELF magazine. Since its the 20 year anniversary of SELF’s Pink Ribbon” movement, they featured so many cool items from companies that donate a certain amount of proceeds to different charities. I want to show a few things that I saw and will be on the hunt for in no time.

“MINDFULNESS MEDITATION”

 

So, lately.. actually for a while now, I’ve heard of people I knew practicing “Mindfulness Meditation”. From what I know, its part of Buddhist tradition. 

“To be mindful is to be aware of your thoughts and actions in the present, without judging yourself.”

Research shows that mindfulness meditation may improve mood, decrease stress, and boost immune function.
